Take a look at the fish I’m holding in my hand. Have you ever seen anything like it? Look at those colors! This must be some exotic fish from a coral reef in the ocean somewhere right?!

Actually, this is a male Rainbow Darter (Etheostema careleum) and if you live around the central U.S. these guys, and many others, are right outside your door. That little creek you live next to or drive by on your way to work?…yep, full of them.

Thats the kind of knowledge I want to share with you. After spending years learning and earning degrees in Wildlife Biology, I want to impart everything I’ve been taught. We’ll cover many different topics ranging from botany to herpetology, mammalogy to ichthyology and much much more. And who knows, we may even have a little fun along the way!
